In this project of comprehensive renovation, we address both the lobby and the staircase of a building, with the aim of renewing and modernizing these key spaces while respecting their original elements.
LOBBY
For the intervention in the lobby, we began with the demolition of the existing flooring, including the grip material, the intermediate step, and the steps of the staircase leading to the first floor. This phase was essential to prepare the space for subsequent improvements.
Next, a construction of a ramp, which was paved with pieces of marble type Macael. To ensure safety, especially on the interior ramp, non-slip rods.
were incorporated. On the vertical surfaces, a new handrail was built using Macael marble with a polished finish, all fixed with adhesive cement, giving an elegant and durable touch to the lobby.
The interior lighting was completely renovated with the installation of indirect LED lighting, improving the brightness and atmosphere of the space. Additionally, new mailboxes and protection cabinets for electrical elements, as well as interior handrails and railings.
To complete the intervention in the lobby, a decorative coating was applied to the walls, interior ceilings, access doors, wooden cabinets, and other interior finishes, achieving a modern and welcoming appearance.
STAIRCASE
In the area of the staircase, the lowering, polishing, and buffing of the terrazzo floor, covering from the mezzanine level to the access level to the common roof on the upper floor, including the elevator boarding area. This treatment restored the terrazzo's original shine, significantly improving the aesthetics of the space.
The recovery of volumes in the walls and ceilings of the stair landings was carried out, as well as the stripping and recovery of lime stucco. Original screen prints and other original decorative elements, preserving the historical character of the building.
The interior wooden surfaces, including doors and handrails, underwent a stripping and varnishing, which revitalized their appearance and extended their durability.
Finally, the interior lighting for a new indirect LED lighting and a decorative coating on the walls, interior ceilings, and finishes, achieving a perfect balance between modernity and heritage conservation.
