Transitional spaces are much more important than we often imagine. A lobby is not just a passage area; it is the business card of a building, the first contact users have with the environment, and a key element in the perception of quality, comfort, and functionality.
With this vision, the technical interior design department of TCA Sertec has carried out a comprehensive renovation of a lobby located in the Sarrià-Sant Gervasi district of Barcelona, transforming a conventional space into a warmer, more accessible, and contemporary experience.
A project focused on the user experience
The main objective of the intervention has been to improve people's relationship with the space, creating an environment that combines aesthetics, functionality, and well-being.
To achieve this, the project has addressed a comprehensive transformation based on four fundamental pillars: the redefinition of volumes, the improvement of accessibility, the optimization of lighting, and the renewal of surfaces and finishes.
Each of these actions has contributed to generating a new perception of the lobby, providing visual spaciousness, spatial continuity, and a more current and welcoming image.
